About the Foundation’s Grantmaking
First Fed Foundation proudly celebrates 10 years of improving life in our corner of the world!
First Fed Foundation, a private charitable corporation, began making grants in 2015, thanks to a generous gift valued at $12 million from the parent company of First Fed, when the bank was converted to a publicly traded company.
This gift underscored First Fed’s commitment to continue its 100-year tradition of giving back to the communities it serves. In that same spirit, First Fed Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life in Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap, and Whatcom Counties, and Bellevue, WA.
Through Spring 2025, First Fed Foundation awarded grants totaling $7,601,500 to nonprofits, school districts, tribes, and government agencies that provide housing, help, and hope to the following communities and funding priorities:
